About

This blog is for sharing our experience of The Gambia with you, and we invite you to share yours also. This isn’t a place to push offers or any other marketing spiel. We’d rather it was simply a way of celebrating a country that, from our experience, people fall in love with.

We want this to be as interactive as possible so please do leave comments and let us know of any ideas you might have for future posts. We’ll also gratefully accept any photos, features and videos, and we’ll certainly invite the best of these to be posts in their own right.

Of course, if you’re interested in visiting the Gambia and want to book a holiday there, don't let us stop you!»

A hairy bloke, yesterday

As we said above, we want to make this blog as collaborative as possible but for now, it appears to be me doing most of the writing so I thought I should introduce myself… I’ve worked for The Gambia Experience for the best part of 7 years now, in various capacities (envelope folder, brochure lugger, tea ferrier), but currently occupy the role of E-commerce and Marketing Executive. I’ve travelled a fair bit, including the West Coast of Africa, and generally look after the content on the websites and try and make use of what garbled knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years.

But as I say, what we really want this place to be is a forum to make the most of all your knowledge of The Gambia so if you anything in mind at all that you’d like to tell us, show us or give us then please do get in touch.

Cheers, Matt

You can book a wide range of holidays to this amazing country at www.gambia.co.uk.
